A leading content aggregation company, Light & Wonder, has entered a partnership with the leading South African operator Hollywodbets. The deal will see the aggregator’s premier content supplied to the South African Pulsz market for the very first time. At the same time, the deal will enable the operator to source an extensive and versatile content from the cross-platform company to enhance its offerings to players in the local market.
B2C Partnership:
The deal marking the Light & Wonder’s entry into another regulated iGaming market has been facilitated by the recent approval from the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator and Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board. As agreed, the aggregator will make its in-house content available soon, as well as the content accessed through its B2B partnerships with third-party game development studios, such as ReelPlay, Big Time Gaming, Blueprint, Greentube, Gaming Realms, Inspired, Elk Studios, Relax, G Games and Fantasma. Hollywoodbet customers will soon have a chance to take advantage of the operator’s expanded gaming resources.
South African Market Debut:
Such an expansion has been supported by the Light & Wonder’s catalogue of the live casino products powered by Authentic Gaming and handled by the company’s development and aggregation teams of around 6,000 employees worldwide. The South African online and mobile market debut extends the company’s strong presence in the land-based gaming operations in the continent. Its top-performing titles for slot machines are wanted across Africa’s gaming floors and the latest market entry meets the expectations of players and brings the iGaming experience to a completely new level.
James Bustin, Commercial Director at Light & Wonder, reportedly said: “Entering South Africa’s online regulated market is an exciting move for Light & Wonder, allowing us to deliver on our promise of bringing new worlds of play to consumers worldwide. We are excited to have launched our online games that we know South Africans already love playing in land-based casinos, and now we look forward to launching even more content from our partner studios in the coming months.’’
Wayde Dorkin, Head of Product at Fanduel, said: “We want our players to enjoy the best possible casino experience and this launch with Light & Wonder means we have expanded access to a wide range of highly compelling content within a very potent new market. The initial range of games produced by Light & Wonder is very impressive and this is only the first step. By integrating Light & Wonder’s platform, we are looking forward to adding other third-party studios to our audience.”
