EquiLottery inks Win Place Show deals for Kentucky

American lottery games innovator, EquiLottery, has reportedly inked a series of deals that will see the Kentucky Lottery Corporation host a 90-day trial of its new Win Place Show product featuring customized horseracing content from video streaming firm, Roberts Communications Network.

According to a Wednesday report from PaulickReport.com, Louisville-headquartered EquiLottery signed an agreement with the Kentucky Lottery Corporation late last month that will see the Win Place Show experiment begin from March 24, 2019, at 45 Kentucky Lottery locations spread across the state.

Designed as a way to increase interest in horseracing throughout the southern state, the non-parimutuel Win Place Show lottery-type games will reportedly see players provided with random numbers before each day’s eventual winner is determined by the outcome of a single horse race without the use of handicapping or odds.

PaulickReport.com reported that the deal with Roberts Communications Network i 7BALL CC s to see the Las Vegas-based firm provide EquiLottery with live and archived horseracing content that players will be able to watch in real time or via an archive by accessing the domains at WinPlaceShowLotto.com and KYLottery.com as well as through a bespoke mobile app.

Brad Cummings, Chief Executive Officer for EquiLottery, reportedly detailed that his firm’s Win Place Show innovation could be extended to other American state lotteries before describing the collaboration with Roberts Communications Network as ‘at the core of the unique product we are offering lottery players in Kentucky and beyond.’

“Our research says delivering a new draw game experience through an authentic and unscripted event such as horseracing will give current players a new way to experience the lottery and grow the lottery base with new players who are not necessarily drawn to traditional lottery games but love live sports,” Cummings reportedly told PaulickReport.com.

For his part, Todd Roberts, Chief Executive Officer for Roberts Communications Network, proclaimed that he was ‘pleased’ to be playing a part in bringing the new Win Place Show innovation to lottery aficionados in Kentucky and engender ‘new interest to the sport of horseracing.’
